A wonderful tour on top of Bornholm, in the big forest of Almindingen. The route was recommended by Bo from Hotel Skovlyst - find him on Strava for some great gravel routes in the island. On the way up this morning it got colder and colder and there was even ice up there, pretty unexpected - damned myself for not wearing overshoes! Almindingen is a beautiful big forest similar to Gribskov with long stretches and you can just go and go in there. I went all the way to the end, to the hilly stretch called “Paradisbakkerne” and it was worth it even though it’s asphalt there, the nature is so beautiful. Weather got bad on the way back with headwinds and the final 10 minutes literally killed me - I am not used to running these distances and this hilly, but it was a wonderful tour, ending with a pleasant surprise of finding a gravel bike path close to Helligdomsklipperne.
