Perfect weather today. I went to the body shop today at 10AM, so my departure for today's ride was delayed. The legs felt pretty good to start. Made it to the summit of the descent in good time, considering the headwind. The air is nice and cool. I cruised the downhill, putting in two digs over the risers. I made it to the base, but didn't check my time. I headed back, no stopping. The body responded well. I was holding moderate tempo, increasing here and there. I stopped once to take photos of the local animals. The climb went well, I got out what I intended. Concentration was good. The morale feels good. The music helped too. I love this time of the year. The weather is fantastic. Balance and form was good. Ailments, next to none. Probably some hand soreness, not much numbness today. Gear worked perfect. Nutrition was good. No hunger pains, I went through about 3/4 of my Gatorade. No water. Other notes there were about a dozen tourists at the Loop Monument. There was a train on its way up. Perfect photo moment for them. There was a train on its way down as I was nearing the summit. I saw one cyclist on his way down as I was on my way up.
