This is a blue route, according to trailforks, and it was precisely the kind of trail we were looking for. We are not beginners, but we don't enjoy highly technical and/or difficult routes. It was a nice steady climb that was bikeable almost the entire way up. There were a few spots we had to get off and hike a bike. The way down is so much fun, and you have a few different sections that include a rhododendron tunnel, clear-cut section, gravelly bit, and single track. There's a huge parking area, and it does not have facilities. The parking area was easy to find, and the dirt road leading up to it was narrow, but there were pullouts. The parking area is not too far up the dirt road. There's a Loves truck station right off the highway and about a mile before the trailhead.
