今年是第二屆的梅洲超百騎行活動,而這次活動,亦是益騎中國,梅洲站的騎行活動。
我們這次是一個小隊伍,總共只有六人,我們人少,所以搭了橫崗車友的順風車前往梅洲。在眾多隊伍中,我們的組合可能是較特別的一隊,我們有一位來自美國的女車友 AK。人群中出現一位白人女車友,好自然引起眾人的興趣,有電視台的訪問,有領導人、眾多車友邀請合照等。
活動在梅洲的蕉嶺舉行,但係橫崗車友選擇在梅洲縣城落腳,我們已經預訂蕉嶺的酒店,所以我們要從縣城騎行五十幾公里到蕉嶺,幸得禪版安排,請得她的朋友駕車引路,並為我們運送行李,感謝。
梅洲這幾日的天氣預測是有雨,騎行當天的預測是中到大雨。幸運的是星期六(19號)騎行往蕉嶺那段時間沒下雨。簽到完成,騎往酒店途中,隱約聽到遠方雷聲和閃電,想著或者能騎到酒店,能夠躲得過,可事與願違,還有約一公里左右,大雨傾盤而至。我們也算好運氣,傍邊有避雨的地方。這之後,雨一直落到星期日早上八點幾沒停過,落了十幾個鐘的雨。
早上醒來收到訊息,鑑於昨夜大雨,組委決定將出發時間推遲,改八點鐘起步,另外亦刪減了路陡多彎的長潭路段,原來路線約一百公里左右,刪減後變成約六十公里。
對於遠方的我們,來一次不容易,路線刪去這許多,當然是不爽和無奈,但我理解並接受組委的決定。 眼中所見,組委會在整個活的安排是做的很好,路牌和沿途義工的指示也適當。特別是最後一段落長坡,見到不同的位置有醫療單位的救傷車停駐,在較高風險路線上有這個安排,在不幸事情發生後,救護人員就不用山長水遠,可能要一個小時的車程才能到達救護傷患。
現在回頭說說推遲起步時間,其實沒人能預見推遲後,天氣會否改善,這次是交上好運,起步沒多久就漸漸停雨,或有時是極細的似無還有。我們在落完長坡後,差不多到終點才再次遇上不算大的雨。
人生好多時滿是遺憾,這次路線因暴雨而縮減,對所有人是一個遺憾,對組委更是艱難的決定。我們隊中的好手 Kevin,這幾十公里是小菜一碟,但在四十幾公里時,中軸損壞,被迫截乘其他車隊的支援車回去。
人生也會遇上好多美好的事情。我們的小隊伍,得到好多人的幫忙,讓我們順利平安到達梅洲。
認識到梅洲人對過路客人的熱誠,其中例子路過二簽前東嶺村,村民煮了大鍋的綠豆沙請車友品嘗,是村民自發,免費的,綠豆沙雖然大鍋,但係是不夠以千計的騎友享用,在終點聽聞村民竟然覺得抱歉,未能讓後來的車友也喝上。第二個例子,有車友經過柚子園,見到柚子甚好,和園主人交談後,立刻摘幾個給車友們享用。第三個例子,我們午餐的小麵店,店家見我們有單車,立刻安排位置,方便我們擺放。
今年是抗戰勝利七十周年,組委特別安排路線,讓車友們探訪了謝晉元將軍故居。可能好多車友沒聽過謝將軍的名字,但係提到「八百壯士」,聽過的人應該較多,將軍就是當時的指揮官。當年的史蹟就不再在這兒花筆墨了,有興趣的網上搜尋吧。

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
