For some reason my computer would not recognized my Garmin, it was able to upload to Garmin Connect thru WiFi which I noticed a few hours ago and just figured out how to export to PerfPro Studio on my computer. I spent the past 2 days on this issue, crazy!
I finally got the Specialized Tarmac repaired and fully upgraded to Dura Ace/ Ultegra making it a nearly new bike,,, Carbon aero bars to house the new Di2 groupset, new BB for Shimano HollowTech crankset shorter 165mm crank arms for my super bad knees, new rear cassette and chain. The only thing that is original is the frame and fork.I pulled an all nighter working on the bike, I didn't finish the bike until late afternoon! I had to do some food shopping first then eat some dinner.I was sure the wind would be less by the time I was going o to ride...I only intending to do a short test ride especially since it was still so windy and windier than it was during the day to my surprise. The first thing I noticed besides the wind was how light and responsive the bike felt! It was not the same bike, I never expected this amazing feeling, it took me about 5 miles to adjust to the wind and this new sensation! I was so taken instead of turning around into a tailwind I had to keep going and at every turning point, I just kept going. At the 11.5 miles the first issue appeared, I forgot to torque down the handlebars, so I pulled out my 3 in 1 allen wrench and tightened up the bolts, (this was the only thing that needed attention to). The wind was blowing me all over the road but I was able to keep the bike under control. I really enjoyed the bike handling, feel and ride, I would have never done this ride otherwise. My legs were toast when I finished and I got very little sleep that night my kept cramping and are still super sore two days later, Missed yesterday's ride spending most of the day and night on the computer.I can't wait to see how the bike feels without all that wind, which I will be doing shortly!
