Legs were feeling a little sore from yesterday's ride so I was happy to get a warmup from the Rosewood before climbing Kings. Had an amazing breakfast, thanks to Seamus, at Kelly and Aymeric's amazing house where Brad's party is going to be held. We spent a little too long at breakfast maybe, waiting on Bryan, but eventually got rolling up Kings. It was already pretty hot. Tunitas was even prettier today than yesterday. The temperature was perfect and light in the trees was so beautiful. I kept wishing I could stop to get some shots of people but the group was so scattered. After a stop at the bike hut and we decided to change the route and go back on Lobitos Creek instead of Hwy 84. There was a bit of a misunderstanding about which way to go that took us out to Hwy 1 instead of taking Lobitos Creek Cut-off but it was all good. Got to see the ocean which was clear, blue, and pretty. Did most of Lobitos Creek together. Lucas and Corby just rode off the front like it was nothing and it was awesome to see Lucas put on the afterburners towards the top and just go. I was too tired from yesterday's Tunitas PR and just took it easy riding with Andre and then pacing Brad up the climb. Then it was a fun descent down Kings back to Kelly's for a delicious lunch and watching them prepare the whole lambs to be cooked. Tim, Andre, Lucas and I rolled back to the Rosewood where I came from the back of the line to take the final sprint up Sand Hill for the ride win! :)
