Well maybe not truly wandering since there was a planned route but something a little different at the top of the loop. Lots of light industry and strip retail up there when we ventured off the bike trails. Got started a lot later than planned as a riding partner had work issues but still managed to finish before dark. Little too close for comfort though. At least the weather was nice. Warm but not hot. Not likely to repeat this anytime soon. Lots of foot traffic on the trails and not terribly lovely near Lake Artemesia. Plus meandering across the university required head on a swivel even if school is out. On the other hand, with riding partner stuck with 1x11 after busting left-hand shifter, this is flat enough to allow a comfortable ride.
