Trans-Sylvania Epic: Stage 3

Stage 3: No pressure, low pressure.

I let some air out of the tires to make the rocky conditions easier. After the day 1 mechanical problems, I hold no ambitions of standing on the final podium. The stage 3 course had a lot of climbing sections which, after my sessions at Bear Mountain, were quite pleasant.

I have lost much of my technical skills from fewer trips around Wissahickon and Belmont. I stopped many times over the last few days to let faster downhillers do their thing. Today, I kept silent and put a few in the rear view. The results are going to be weird with 3-day and 5-day riders on the course at the same time. All I can do is give it my all.

    Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
