Great ride…right up until it wasn’t. Great trail and rode through a beautiful sunset, but washed front wheel out on a side slope section. It was just a light step-off tip over, but a rock shattered the water pump housing…all coolant gone. Dark by this time and I had to ride-stop-ride my way to Escape Road and descend to Peach Valley Road, balancing needing to run the bike on the climbs, not wanting to run the engine so I didn’t blow the head gasket and seize the motor, and also needing to run the headlight, which turns off when engine isn’t running. Total shit show. Could only go abt a quarter mi at a time before engine would start overheating, then would have to turn it off to let it cool down. Descended out of the hills to Peach Valley Rd without killing myself and after a couple miles a guy happened by in a pickup. Ditched the bike in the weeds and he gave me a ride back to my truck, then I went and retrieved the bike.
