Montañas Vacías Day 2 || Refugio La Portera - Rio Tajo

Day 2 - What a corker! I really didn’t expect to see quite so many different types of landscapes in just one day. 😮
We rode pretty much in silence for 7 hours, doing little else than turn our heads from left to right, taking in the views.
We passed through dense pine forest, high mountain plains, giant red rock formations, deep limestone gorges and everything in between.
We lucked out on the animal spotting today, lots of deer, owls, foxes, hares and more vultures than I could possibly count.
Today was such a lovely day that it really didn’t need a cherry on top…but we got one! We found a beaut of a wild camp spot, definitely 10/10 thanks to its stunning swim spot in the emerald waters of the Rio Tajo.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
