Frozen finger commute today, out the door & look at the frost on the grass and car windows, then stand around and wait for a V/Line to crawl through the crossing heading for Oakleigh. Freezing cold as usual along the Djerring trail, then I caught and passed the V/Line as it was stopped waiting to enter Huntingdale. Caught and passed the Metro at the next signal ahead of it too, then paced the train all the way to Clayton station. Up through Clayton and finally into the sun along Browns road, lorikeets screaming in the gum trees, my fingers were just about thawed by the time I got to work and.... discovered that I'd forgotten to bring my shirt. Oh well, today's casual friday outfit will be the work pants and my favourite ancient Ground Effect "Frosty Boy" fleecy winter cycling top -- a little loose in the elastic but still holding out after 25 yrs!
