Couldn't get my tire bead to seat with a gas station air compressor. so I decided bit was faster to walk to a bike shop with my wheel and tire than throw a tube in, then have to reinstall the tire once I got there. They were perfectly set up for this sort of thing, they had an air hose that they were perfectly happy to allow me the use of for nothing. One of the staff even gave me a tip of removing the core to get more of a burst of air in quicker, and that worked beautifully. So I found a new pair of half finger gloves, a set of brake pads and also picked up a new thru axle. Super great place, Subculture bikes if you need anything in Salida. I should also mention it rained the whole time. But it was a lovely walk through wonderful neighborhoods.
