Co-led with Lynne. Joined by Rob Singer, Mark Terry, and Yavuz Cayir. We borrowed a MAFW ride that looked good and it didn’t disappoint. Beautiful areas. Got stared down by a black bear towards the start of the ride. Cautiously rode past him, as he checked all the riders out. Fell in love with Bangor, Pa. with its quaint homes and an old throwback downtown. Not a prosperous looking town, but vibrant, smiling, friendly people. Asked a lady where there was a coffee shop / deli. She personally escorted us to the nearest one. One elderly looking woman walking past our outdoor table, playfully attempted to take 1/2 of Mark’s turkey sandwich. Bangor lost some of its appeal about 1/2 way up a stiff 1 1/2 mile climb to leave the city. Enjoyable and a challenge to ride with such strong riders.
