This is video from our Day 2 of 3 on the Bitterroot 300k Sept 14, 2021 Today starts with long uphill leaving Mullan. We are now on the Northern Pacific Trail into the Bitterroot Mtns. We cross over Lookout Pass leaving Idaho into Montana. We get our tickets (Free for us since we are not riding the shuttle) at Lookout Pass Ski area for Route of the Hiawatha. But we still have about 9 or 10 miles before the trail. The next 8 miles of downhill were awsome but the last mile to the East Portal was a lot of Hike-A-Bike uphill, but we did end up taking the road and could have continued on the North Pacific Trail also. Route of the Hiawatha Scenic Mtn Bike Trail is AWSOME, First its Downhill and on the ride down you go thru 10 Tunnels and cross 7 trestles with views and views of the mtns... After completing the offical part of the Hiawatha Trail, we continued down to avery on the road/trail that follow the orginal rail line.
