First time back at China Camp since The Incident. I had planned a bigger loop that included the backside but we opted for the chill loop.
Just before reaching the park, Melinda realized she forgot her shoes. She turned around to go get them and I did a little exploring.
I have to say, China Camp is gorgeous, and the chill loop is pretty fun. It's not too technical. Too bad it isn't longer. It's really not a weekend ride unless you do multiple laps. It would be perfect as a morning or evening ride.
Because of the delayed start, we didn't finish until lunch time. I had planned to do a 2nd lap and/or do Tamarancho but I wasn't sure I'd be able to make it without getting too hungry.
Melinda suggested getting lunch and then doing Tamarancho which sounded like a great idea. We ended up going to Sol Food and taking it up to Boyd Memorial Park to eat since their dining area was closed.
Decent view but the wasps and mosquitoes were not cool. Melinda got stung on the thigh and I got multiple mosquito bites.
By the time we were done with lunch, I didn't really feel like going back to either. I just wanted to beat the traffic home - the city was still pretty bad.
I thought about going to Pacifica on the way home but it looked foggy. Even when I got home, it was a little overcast and there was smoke haze in the upper atmosphere. The AQI was green so I went out and did a bonus lap.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
