Geneva-Carpentersville Mixed Trail Ride 10-31-2021

Seven (with 32 Slicks). Cool - hi 40's to low 50's, cloudy and humid for a good bit of the ride, more sunny after the first third, stiff, gusty NW winds @ 14-16 mph. Nice ride over some new territory in the Brunner Family FP, across IL-31 from Raceway Woods. New Limestone trail was terrible, loose and too thick, could barely ride the bike through it.

Took the new Longmeadow Parkway bridge over to the East side of the Fox River. The bridge is still under construction but I hopped some barriers and made it across. There will be a bike path on the bridge, part of it is already completed.

Finished up October with the highest mileage month of the year with 889 miles.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
