2010-08-01 Blackberry Bramble and Metric Century!!!

Previous to today, the farthest we've ever ridden in one stretch is about 35 miles. We signed up for the 42-mile ride, but when we reached the first rest stop we were feeling fine and didn't really want to go back the way we came, so we decided to try out the 62-mile route which is 100km, also known as a metric century. One of my personal goals was to ride a metric century before the end of the year. Yesterday I didn't think I'd be able to do it for a couple more months, but today we breezed through it without any difficulty. We're slow, but we can go the distance and walk around afterwards without anything hurting. Yay for trikes!

    Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
