Report on today's ride: I wimped out because it was foggy and COLD at 8am. So we (Coop, Les, Wayne, and I) drove to Knights Ferry. Parking was very limited so each of us found a spot but not together. Then we had a leisurely breakfast before doing the ride. By the time we started, it was a bit warmer (but still cold) and the fog had lifted. Steve had forgotten to grab his shoes, helmet, and gloves so we decided to ride to his place first so he could get these items. We dawdled around before finally heading out again. By this time, the temperature was reasonable. When we got to Eastman and 26 Mile Rd, Steve advised he needed to get back home for an appointment so he turned around there. Now we were down to three. The rest of the ride went well (in spite of the headwind) but when we got back to Knights Ferry, my car was parked in the middle of the festivities (The Pumpkin Roll). Fortunately, the organizers worked with me to get my car out of the way rather than making me stay until 5:00 as had been threatened when I wasn't there and they were trying to get the owner to move that d*!# car. Whew, I definitely won't do that next year. Thanks for a great ride guys!
