This mornig I met Rich M at Saguaro Park East for the big loop around and to the picnic area. We lingered awhile at the ramada to socialize with other riders who stopped by on their park visits. Rich H and Harold showed up as a couple of regular Friday riders. From there I biked to the end of Old Spanish Trail and up to the Colossal Cave Mt Park to enjoy the view from the top. For my exit from that park, I followed the (terrible) interior road past the park ranch, camp grounds and picnic areas and bypassed the locked gate onto Colossal Cave Rd which ends at Pistol Hill Rd. After a full morning of lots of climbing, I was running low on water, so returned home via Cm Loma Alta, Old Spanish, and Camino De Los Reyes. It was an interesting and fun day of variety, good views, temps in 70-80 range.
