Manilla to Boggabri via a sneaky back way... On 2nd thoughts, via the normal way

Breakfast at the delightful Manilla bakery, as the temperature rose from crisp to warm in 15 mins.

Set out on the Boggabri Road, which RWGPS promised to be a fairly boring 94% sealed. Turned out to be 50-50 sealed vs gravel, so bloody perfect.

An oncoming road-watering truck was nice enough to turn the taps off as we approached, but the next section of freshly watered gravel was a tad sticky.

Relaxing lunch in the shade of some gums then on to Boggabri. A detour that suggested a more adventurous approach to town turned out to be TOO adventurous for these old farts, as the river crossing depth showed 700mm.

Abort, abort! Back to the main road.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
