Monica has been wanting to do a Peninsula/South Bay ride for a while now and we finally made it happen.
A little colder than yesterday but still gorgeous. The first part of the ride was calm and the water was glassy but on the way out to the Coyote Hills levee, the wind started to pick up.
On the way to Adobe Creek Trail, I was starting to get hungry. There was no food stop planned for the ride but I asked Monica if she was interested in trying to find a place to eat. She was game as she was very hungry at that point.
I did some Googling and luckily Shoreline Lake American Bistro (American Bistro - Shoreline Lake) was close-by and basically on the trail/in the park so we didn't have to head out on to city streets.
To our surprise it ended up being really good. I was very happy that Monica suggested getting a bunch of desserts to split. The apple tart really good. The lemon meringue tart was amazing! We had these before our burgers, which were also great. We saved the chocolate salted caramel tart for after. It was good but I wasn't as into it.
Still the place was a great discovery. I've ridden passed so many times without knowing it existed. Would totally recommend and go back.
After lunch, it got colder. The wind picked up and some clouds moved in, blocking the warmth of the sun. I'm really glad I brought the extra layers.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
