I was originally going to do the Coast Ride FOMO ride which turned inland at Pescadero. Then I was invited to the Pescadero Loop starting from Woodside. Then Bob said he wanted to do the Pescadero Loop. It’s been a long and tiring week of overtime at work and the FOMO ride was starting too early for me. In the end the late start Bob proposed sounded best to me, giving more time to sleep in. Also it was going to get really warm today and didn’t want to dress for the cold of the morning and have tons of layers to shed later. The day was super nice and actually started off warmer than expected. On Pescadero Creek Rd. we ran into Ross and Jesse doing the FOMO ride. I’m glad I got to see them. Arcangeli was super busy today for some reason. We got there after 1p too and figured the lunch rush would be over. Originally we were going to return over Tunitas like normal but it was already 2p when we left Pescadero. We decided the best thing to do was take W. Alpine back - the quickest way. I had SO much fun bombing down Page Mill. Because I was taking it easy all day, I had loads of energy at the end and the descent just gave me even more. We ended up getting back just before sunset. Good thing too because I didn’t bring lights. I thought for sure we would make it back in time. I saw two different horses today that were lying down but they looked like they were dead. One in Woodside at the base of OLH and another just before Pesadero. :)
