Pulled the pin at Bogong and returned via Mt Beauty. The last 16km up to Falls Creek didn't look feasible today Insufficient training and fitness, not enough climbing and not enough long rides, so even though the weather was very kind to us today, I didn't have the legs for the distance & the mountains. Stupidly, I'd thought about changing from the 200km to the 130km yesterday but didn't, then while on the ride had thought about turning around at Mount Beauty but didn't, and started up towards Falls Creek. It was going to take me around 3hrs to climb the 30km and I'd be getting close to the cut off time, then at half way up I decided to turn around. Even so, the return climb up the back of Tawonga gap was a matter of ride a kilometre and rest under a tree, repeated around seven or eight times Better luck next year... and more importantly, better preparation Clear sky, 13°C, Feels like 13°C, Humidity 76%, Wind 1m/s from SSE - by Klimat.app
