Wisconsin Trails 2014

Wisconsin Trail Ride. On a very chilly Saturday morning while still recuperating from a cold, I rode with Gary, Dave, Bob, Todd, and Geoff along the Elroy-Sparta Trail. We arrived on site in Elroy at 10:45 a.m. Skies were cloudy with temperatures in the upper 40s and moderate northerly winds. I wore cold weather gear (Specialized tights, base layer, red jersey) with cold weather gloves.

Drove from Christmas Mountain Village to Elroy, Wisconsin and rode NW along the Elroy-Sparta Trail. Rode to Tunnel #1, walked through the 1/2 mile tunnel and back, then rode back. Skies became partly cloudy near the turnaround point, then cleared on the return trip. Had a light lunch at a little bar in Elroy after our ride and then drove back to Christmas Mountain Village.
