That was a beautiful ride!

Yeah, even though the Dixie Fire burned completely around our valley, it's still pretty scenic. Yesterday was the first time I've been up this road since the fire and I noticed that, with so many trees burned, there are a lot more views of the valley below.

Nature will regenerate as long as we leave it alone. We are the main source of the trouble. Happy trails!

Actually, leaving it alone is a big part of why this fire got so big. Our forests need to be managed better or they just become a huge fire hazard. The Native Americans did a much better job of that 200 years ago than our government does now.

I believe you. I looked on Google Earth those two options that you mentioned for this summer tour. I couldn't believe how many areas were deforested already. I'm no expert but doesn't look right.
