Oro Valley Local Roads and Trails 3-11-22

Seven. Sunny but cool (low 50's) and variable and pretty strong 10-12 mph winds from West, shifting to North. Rode with my neighbor Linda from across the street. Took the Canada Del Oro trail down to the Santa Cruz trail, then a combination of roads and trails on Twin Peaks and Tangerine, finishing up on La Cholla. Nice easy conversational pace, good rest day for me. Kris and I will take a desert hike later and I'm planning a Metric up to Oracle tomorrow.

First ride on the Seven since I got here. I put on the wheels with 32mm slicks and got to test out the ShockStop stem and seat post. Not bad but I have to focus on smooth pedaling to keep from rocking - which is good training for improved pedaling technique.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
