Sat. March 26, 2022. Weather forecast somewhat wrong – just a little rain. Finally left about 11 am for Umbria Street. Just taking Ryobi backpack blower as Little Big Blower has deflated tire. Plus Echo weed wacker and flat shovel. Lower Shawmont Avenue has been milled. Worked on Umbria – it wasn’t too bad. Lots of pot holes on Umbria near Shawmont. Pleased that trees were cut down on outbound side just before the right hand curve. Odd construction across from closed and decrepit Umbria Golf Center. Also two old RV trailers along outbound bike lane, one with generator and steps protruding out into bike lane. Blew off the bike lanes down to Domino Lane. Then drove to Wissahickon SEPTA stop, taking Echo weed wacker and flat shovel. Wissy Bikeway had lots of composting leaves and mud. Too much for me. Walked up to the barricade under the Henry Avenue bridge. Upper bridges still not open. Lincoln Drive was initially closed then re-opened as I walked back. Didn’t even start the weed wacker. Walked a total of six miles, three plus three. Pretty tired when I got home.
