This was my longest ride so far in 2016, and the first ride of the year when I could wear warm weather attire. On this warm mid-day ride, I rode to Busse Woods, then continued southward along the Salt Creek Greenway Trail to the Great Western Trail. I started riding at 11:20 a.m., reached the Roselle Metra station at 11:46, the Busse Woods loop at 12:10 (10.8 mile mark), the start of the trail portion of the SCGT at Bauman at 12:38, exited the Great Western Trail at 2:55, and returned home at 3:48 p.m. Skies started mostly sunny and ended partly sunny with temperatures rising from 80 to 83 and light S winds. I wore Specialized bib shorts, short sleeve jersey, and Giro gloves.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
