I put my rear wheel from my creaky Tarmac on my Aero bike and climbed Peachy. At first getting to the climb everything was so peaceful quiet, and I thought “OK it’s not the free hub” like I thought it might be (after thinking it was the bottom bracket and getting help from Pete and building custom spacers from my BB30 to my Shimano cranks). Then I got to the steeper part of the climb and CREAK. Worse than the Tarmac as the Aero frame seems to act as a good sound resonator. Interesting though it’s worse in the larger sprockets and no creaking in the smaller sprockets even with lots of force on the peddles. I did not notice that so much when the wheel was mounted on the Tarmac. But maybe I was just more in diagnosing mode today so paid more attention to those details.
