Going through the final preparation steps before my tour in 16 days. I took the Domane into Swanny's a few weeks back to make sure everything was ready mechanically. Today was an appointment with Greg over at Sänus Sports to make sure the bike was ready from a fit standpoint. Everything on the bike was dialed in, but my cleats were a disaster. After replacing the cleats we toyed with the idea of adding a longer stem. A 90mm is on there now and felt a 100mm might work a little better, especially after dropping a few pounds after my last visit. After trying it, Greg felt it would be best to hold off until after I got back. It seems I'm right in between sizes and he'd rather not make such a major adjustment with a 5-week tour coming up. I needed the car to go to my appointment while the kiddo needs it after school to go to her volunteering commitment. I dropped her off this morning, went to breakfast, followed by my fitting appointment, dropped of the car where she usually parks, and then rode home.
