In the morning Kalle shared some eggs from their own chickens and delicious pancakes. I said farewell around 9:30am and headed downtown to a coffee house that Kalle had worked at called "Lemonjello". After a nice latte I began pedaling toward Grand Haven to meet Cory for lunch. The wind was forecast to be west/southwest, however it ended up being northwest going north later in the day. But the temps were warmer today and the sky was clear blue. :)
I met Cory for lunch around 12:40pm at The Morning Star Cafe in Grand Haven. It was crowded and we waited outside and chatted in the sunshine for almost an hour before they seated us. The food was good and it was really nice to visit with Cory. After lunch I said goodbye to my son and began riding toward my hosts' place in Whitehall. I only had to ride another 33 miles and was not in a hurry. It was nice to just take my time today. I arrived around 6:30pm. Mike & Theresa live in a beautiful older home that has recently completely remodeled due to a fire that damaged most of the interior. It sits on a hill right near the marina on White Lake. After allowing to shower in their luxurious bathroom, they shared a delicious home cooked dinner with me.
