McKenzie Pass - Sisters to Dee Wright Observatory. This was a ride from Sisters up McKenzie Pass to Dee Wright Observatory with Tom and Dorothy. I've been aiming to do this ride for the last couple of years and we finally made it happen. The weather was great, cool and dry at the start, partly cloudy skies, and warm on the return. Though it's sad to see the burned hillsides there are still many beautiful views. The road has been plowed up to the observatory from the east side but the west side has not been plowed and the road is still closed to cars. Quite a few bikers on the route and even a couple of runners making their way up the road. Really enjoyed the ride...at some point I'll return and do the climb from the west side and continue past the summit into Sisters.
