Vail 100 - 2022 LONG COURSE

The Vail 100 - October 1, 2022

Vail 100's long course pits gravel bikes against mountain bikes on "choose your weapon" style terrain where both types of bike are perfect...50% of the time. Aid stations are located every 10 miles on course and we'll use the Breck Epic aid bag system (we provide numbered and color coded bags and transport them to all aid stations for you) so riders can go light, but long.

Solo categories only on the long course. E-bikes not permitted on medium or long courses.

The Vail 100 is a fundraiser for the Education Foundation of Eagle County, an organization that tries to address the shortfall in education funding and salary within the valley.

Vail 100 participants can pay a flat fee to race, or opt to fundraise a modest amount in exchange for entry. Our total field (all courses) will be limited to 400 riders in 2022.

    Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
