She was just joking. Forget about it.". Attila had no sense of humor about this and started marching toward Rome with his army. He got distracted with raping, killing, and looting along the way and put the matter of Honoria aside for few years. When Honoria reached the top of his to-do list, he invaded Italy. Bad harvests in Italy made it hard for him to plunder enough food to feed his army, so some sort of deal was reached where Attila would go way.
