R.I.P. Finglespeed

It is with a heavy heart that I report the finglespeed has gone its final mile. While out with my club today, the drive side chainstay broke, rendering the frame irrevocably broken. This bike meant more to me than any Ive had: I cut off the end of my pinky with its chain. I rode it for 6417mi. It was my first foray into riding singlespeed. It was used on century road rides. It was ridden on offroad singletrack. It was ridden studded in the winter. All this from a circa 1994 brandless mountain-bike frame that was already put to pasture but was rebuilt in 2012. It lived a long productive life and now, at long last, rolls into bikeaven. Farewell faithful finglespeed, you will be missed.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
