And then chatted with Kate at Alpine Inn while her dog Monty wrapped his leash around my legs. 🤣 Dirt Alpine is closing from tomorrow to late fall now. Before they said it was until 10/31. It was close to the beginning of Dirt Alpine and I was towards the back of the group when all of a sudden I heard a bike closing on me. I thought it was Otto behind me putting the hammer down but then I heard Kate's voice as she came passed me. After that the pace seemed to go up to "World Cup" pace but we didn't quite go fast enough so I could get a picture at the switchback. We did a lot of steep climbing today. We had done 1500' in the first 5.5 mi. Pretty big crew of Frank's MTB friends. Ryan came back this week but only to trail run. BOO!!!
