Ride 16/07/2022 CCR Ripon to Durham Cathedrals

Cathedrals Cycle Relay, a threesome to the last 2 cathedrals of the set of 42. A hot day on surfaces of very varied quality. Accompanied by a member of GBR Youth Triathlon squad who to his credit rode patiently with the two oldies. Diverted to Ellerton Lake cafe for excellent scone, called in at Piercebridge Summer Fair for a break from the heat. Last 15 miles on NCN paths - traffic free, certainly, but oh so rough, dusty and heavily overgrown. Glad I was wearing long socks and three-quarter shorts. Evening prayer in cool of Durham Cathedral and train home. Total tally for 2022: 11 cathedrals/ abbey's/ minsters and 308 miles.

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
