So today I was going to do a solo 101 km ride that I plotted out and and everything was fine until around the 40 km mark where I might have missed a turn or something or I lost satellite connection with my GPS or something. Regardless the GPS tried re-routing me but it kept re-routing me in circles. Thankfully with my GPS which is NOT a Garmin, it gives me the option of having it in bike mode or car mode. Bike mode was not doing me any good so I put it in car mode and hoped for the best. So here I am going down Hwy 7 towards Road 28 and then Parkhill road and then I finally hit Water Street and I knew where I was. Getting closer to Trent University I came across Joe and Maria and road with them back to the University. I was still 14 kms shy of hitting a 100 so I found a rail trail and finished it. Looking back now on my route, I totally missed the rail trail or trail that I was suppose to get on at the 40 kms mark. Regardless, I still got my 100 plus kms in today and I am happy with that.
