Shoe Factory Woods MTB Ride 7-31-22

Fuel EX 9.8. Sunny, warm, lower humidity, 10-12 mph SSW winds. Nice ride through the woods and prairies on a beautiful Summer day. Trails in good shape, no major wet spots and the prairie wildflowers are out in full force. Did two full laps in both directions, saw a lot of hikers and a few other bikers. There is absolutely no technical riding at Shoe Factory, only long stretches of cross country riding on various surfaces.

Rode 6 out of 7 days this week and had high mileage (262m), second highest week of the year, just behind the week of the New Glarus 4 Daves Tour (265m). Two long (80+ miles) road rides, two MTB rides, an easy recovery trail ride and a super hard interval session. All good training for Race the Lake in three weeks.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
