Hot. HUMID. Lots of encroaching vegetation -- ouch. Some puddles on the flats near Brink.
Some dude was chopping out roots with an ax north of Watkins Mill. Probably had taken out at least 40 when I went through. He was gone when I returned. Unapproved no doubt. I'm guessing that will lead to bad erosion soon, as well as dumbing down the trail. Dufus.
Big tree down along the trail just short of the Rt 355 parking lot. No obvious go around except a hiker path straight up the embankment behind the lot. Uh, no thanks. Turned around there.
Looking at the current route shows how nearly the whole route from 355 to Watkins Mill has changed significantly over the last couple years.
