It's nice and sunny out. The air is a bit on the cool side. Just the way I like it. I planned on going to the Walmart Bike Path and back. I did good time to the summit of OTR. There's road construction on Highline. I was delayed for a few minutes till they let traffic by. From there, it was non-stop riding. When I reached the summit of Highline, I noticed that the turbines off in the distance was indicating winds from the East. I had to make a decision, the Walmart Bike Path, or WS. I chose WS. About half way to the turn-around, I was becoming somewhat reluctant as it seemed I wasn't going to get the tailwind I was hoping for on the way back. Nevertheless, I convinced myself to ride it out. After making the turn-around point, I was able to gauge the wind conditions. The wind was mild. I was able to hold around 17MPH +/- 2 MPH. So, the return trip went quick. After reaching the summit, I had to stop for the road construction again. After that, I was free to ride back to home. I stopped one more time to take a video of some deer that were grazing just to the side of the road. Concentration was good. I had a few things to think about. Gear worked flawless. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs, I went through one Gatorade bottle and water. Balance and form felt good. I was purposely stretching the body while out of the saddle. Hopefully the sit-bones cooperate over the next few hours. Ailments, next to none. Just some minor soreness in the legs. Some mild hand numbness. Other notes, no other cyclists today.
