Today is the second ride with my new saddle. I’m working on getting everything dialed in. I'm taking the cautious approach. I'm increasing the difficulty and duration of my rides slowly. At least I'm able to get in some quality miles in the process. I'm waiting for my new bib shorts to arrive. I decided to throw on a pair of bibs that I haven't used in a few years. The elastic has stretched a but. To my surprise, it was quite comfortable. Kind of like wearing a pair of normal shorts. It worked for me. The morale felt a bit better today. The legs felt good from the start. I was able to put in a good time to the summit of OTR. The weather is pleasantly warm. With a slight cool breeze. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation. Arosa was the usual stuff. Loving the minimal traffic and quiet surroundings. The landmarks went by quick. I was pushing near max over the top. I made my way around the backside and then to the summit of Banducci. When I got there, I took a few moments rest. I adjusted the height of the saddle twice before descending. I have a good feeling about the saddle. The anatomical cut-out might take some time to get used to. No clue how the new shorts are going to fit. I've decided to purchase the same model but in large. Just in case the medium is too tight. I've decided to err on the the side of loose clothing than too tight, like my current medium shorts. I've learned my lesson. After making it down the mountain, I was able to relax on the way down OTR. From there, it was smooth sailing to home. Concentration was good. The morale was good. I had some stuff to think about. Listening to the music helped. Balance and form was good. Gear worked flawless. The new saddle feels more conforming to my anatomy. Many more rides required to confirm. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I had most my Gatorade and some water. Ailments, some hand soreness as I was creating the top of Arosa. Other notes, no other cyclists today.
