This is the day of Portugal, or my biggest mistake when it comes to planning the route. I will be blaming myself all day long for the steep climbs, the lack of bars, the bad drivers and I spend the whole day wishing to cross the border again. But first, coffee... And pasteis de nata (almost all pictures) I am not the biggest fan of this delicacy but since I am in Portugal, I should at least eat one or two. It is weird to know that I am more than halfway, and still so very far from Bilbao. Spain welcomes me with a strong headwind, and the hotel I booked is further than I had imagined. This has been a very poor day with no highlight, I feel like I need to sleep more. I have got 3 more days on the road at least, that still requires energy. I stop after a 19 hours long day only & less than 300km. I set up my alarm, not because I am scared of oversleeping, but to be sure I am standing still & resting long enough.
