The Plan: /ridewithgps.com/routes/2618993/ Breakaway 63 + 17 misc miles to get 80 miles final training before Blazing Saddles in two weeks.
The actuality: Atop Boon Hill we were faced with a lot more climbing and I recalled seeing River Runs Though It arrow back at Whitman Hill Road. That ride is also 63 miles and has some climbs, but less aggressive than Breakaway. So we went back down Boon and climbed Whitman and followed Jim and Nadina's freshly painted arrows. We were both fading a little along Tower Road and in Lincoln. I took us into De Cordova so Nancy could see it as a family outing. While we stopped for gelato there at mile 64, Nancy sort of smiled and mused: "Could we do 100 today? What if it's raining on Blazing Day? I'd like to have one in the bank." How could I say "no"? She had bought the gelato. So 10 miles to/from Concord, 15 mile CCW loop and 11 miles to Carlisle and back would do it. We were really fresh for the final 36 - and had fun doing it. Great first 100. Wonderful attitude and lots of fun!

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
