So, I went for an afternoon ride today. The weather was pretty much the warmest it's been in the past 2 weeks or so. Winds from the north. I decided to play it by ear, as far as tempo goes. I cruised to the top of the descent. I think I made it there in about 10 mins. I cruised the downhill, no real efforts except for the 2 kickers. Even then, I didn't push it. There was road construction, so I had to wait about 2 minutes before I could continue the downhill. After that, it was smooth sailing to the bottom. So, after the first few minutes, I did modest tempo up the ascent, and then upped it, just a fraction. Did some minor efforts on the ususal parts, the loop and over the top. Nothing big. I was well within my limits today. Ailments, right calve hurting just a little on the ascent for about 2-3 minutes at most. No other serious ailments other than that. Concentration was good, although my mind was a little in the grey zone, so I wasn't 100% with it today. Balnce was good. Bike worked great. GPS worked great, picked up the gradient, unlike the last ride. Gopro worked flawless. I had to stop and put the tail light on the way up to the descent, fotunately I put it in my pocket. I'm going to get a headlight for xmas, I hope it works well. The performance techie said this light is great for vissibility purposes, which fits my criteria.
