We've ridden the Epic so many times now that we've started signing up, and paying, and doing whatever we feel like, ride wise.
This year, some of us not as in great shape as they'd like, so we signed up for the 30, did a completely other route and landed at 26 miles. Yep, parked a truck there at the end to shuttle back to the start.
Cold, cold morning, with temps finally reaching 50 about 10am. But it was sunny and finally warmed alllll the way up to about 60. But there was of course a breeze from the north and so sitting in the shade was terribly comfortable.
No reportable incidents, other than some wet roots that caused a coupla quick dismounts; no unplanned swimming, no forcible ejections, all good.
Legs felt good; coulda done more, but was very happy to bail at the Montevideo parking area and skip the rest of the Bluffs trail. The section north of the parking lot is not that interesting, has some really annoying climbs when you're tired and oh yeah, a big ol water crossing that is really hard to stay dry on, even with giant stepping stones. (Did we mention it was cold today?)

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
