I did another all nighter not intentionally, I tried and tried to get the rear derailleur adjusted it wouldn't go into the smallest cog, no matter what I did and it wasn't sounding great in the gears that it was going thru even doing the on board fine tuning adjustment. So, I tried again the cell phone app for Di2. I couldn't register it because I couldn't remember the passkey that is held in the memory of the Di2. I gave it another try and on the 10th try I got it, thus register the Di2 on my new cell phone! Now I was able to get into the existing settings, this is where the trouble was, it was using the setting for the dead derailleur. I was able to micro adjust the derailleur and now it it goes into all the gears and super smooth. I thought yesterday's start was full of issues, today's made it look like child's play, Murphy's Law was in full effect! I finally made it out much later than I was hoping. Albert met me 2 miles past the school going towards me. I was a popsicle on this ride, I thought the temps were supposed to be around 40° but it got down to 30° not to mention the wind chill factor. My upper body was very cold. The last 10 miles I was nice and toasty it was 40°, wind wasn't as bad, the arctic freeze was warming up and the sun dried out the damp air, it was actually nice time to ride! Albert's toes and fingers were his big issues. We started out together at an easy pace but Albert wanted much more, so we bumped up the pace but I had to stop several times for a pit stop, because I was chilly. Once we hit Rte 70 we opened the pace up all the way back to Pemberton WaWa where I made my last pit stop... to make up some of the distance I lost I had to add three miles at the end. Albert's several attacks and all the ride challenges was lots of fun, thank you Albert! We will head out again tomorrow morning for another adventure!
