Went riding in the afternoon. I was debating if it was safe enough for a ride. When I ate breakfast the roads had some puddles. After I took a quick nap, the roads appeared to be drying out. I decided to go for it, as the clouds looked like they were going to hold up. The temperature was in the low 40's, so I wore pretty much everything. My plan was to do the SS ride without the loop. As I got closer to Banducci, the weather didn't look good, so I decided to try making it to the top of the Banducci climb. The fog worsened as I got to the top, so I turned back around 300 yards before the very top (Alpine Forsest entrance). The whole ride was mitigating the cold foggy weather. I had my cloth banadana, and used that on the descents and cold spots. It worked well, although it was a little tight around the neck. I put my tail light in blinking mode, so I think the traffic found me more vissible or noticable than usual. The cold wasn't bad until the return downhill trip. I was getting a little light-headed, not only from the cold, but I think I should have eaten something before-hand. I pressed onward at a slow tempo the whole way back. No ailments, concentration was about 100% on safety more than anything. So I was trying to stay as wide alert as possible. Balance was good, Bike had some knocking noises, but nothing major. Gopro looks to be in good working order. GPS had low battery issues in the last 10 or so minutes of the ride. Not sure what that's about.
