The ride begins from Amazon Park in southeast Eugene. The first 6 miles follows the Blackberry Bramble metric century to the junction of Lorane Highway and Spencer Creek Rd. Instead of turning onto Spencer Creek Rd, continue on Lorane Highway to Gillespie Corners (mile 15). Turn onto Territorial Highway for almost 6 miles to Lorane. The Blackberry route turns onto Old Lorane Rd to the Grange. This is the rest stop location. At mile 20.6 the modified route turns onto Siuslaw Rd. This is where the real fun begins. The route stays on Siuslaw Road for 13 miles. This stretch is majestic, within the Coast Range, very smooth road with minimal traffic. On this day, less than 10 vehicles went by me on the entire 13 mile stretch. There are a couple fairly lengthy climbs, one just before the turnoff to Siuslaw Falls Park and another one at Bottle Creek (mile 33.85). An even longer and steeper climb occurs at mile 37.8, just before the turn for Wolf Creek Rd (mile 38.3). Turn right onto Wolf Creek for a 1.7 mile climb to a false summit. Much of this climb is at a 5-6% grade. At mile 40.4 the final piece of the Wolf Creek Rd climb begins. This is a short climb to the summit at mile 40.8. Then, it's a nice, long downhill for 2.4 miles and a steady flat for a few more miles. At mile 43.8 there is a long, 2-3% incline for 3.6 miles, followed by another lengthy downhill to Territorial Highway.
The route goes left onto Territorial Highway for 1.3 miles into Crow. This was another gradual climb with some headwind. At mile 51.0, the route picks up the Blackberry metric century at Central Rd. There are two short, but somewhat steep climbs within the first mile, then a nice downhill to the turn for Petzold Rd. The route goes right here and continues for about 3 miles to Crow Rd. Continue straight onto Erickson Rd, which comes out at Pine Grove Rd. (mile 57.0). Go left onto Pine Grove Rd, returning to Crow Rd (mile 59.0). Veer right onto Crow Rd and continue to Green Hill Rd. Stay on Green Hill Rd for approximately 3/4 mile to Meadowview Park Lookout. This is where the Fern Ridge bike path begins. The final 8.5 miles is on the bike path, with a short section in the downtown area at Pearl and W 15th.
