This was my longest Tri-Bike ride! I still need to adjust the rear derailleur and possibly the front to one great keeps skipping just like the Tarmac was doing, I tried to do it on the Fly but I couldn't get it to work. I even stopped a few times trying to get it done with no luck. I finally decided just do the ride in the gears that work. The last attempt, messed up a few more years but I made it work... This bike is not a climbing bike in the slightest it takes a lot of effort to climb the easiest of hills! I think it will take a different approach than on a regular road bike. It flies down hill though much easier than on a road bike... For training purpose I got the bike weighted down with spare tubes, bike supplies, lights, cameras, batteries, water bottle and soon if it fits hydration bladder in the front down tube. The first 2 that I purchased were too big, this last one is the smallest that I could find that makes since to use. The one that is suppose to be used only holds 16 oz. In the summer I'll use a camelback. I tried it years ago and didn't like the way it felt but I tried this summer and it was great. I used to use one when I skied and loved it then. You can carry much more water than the two water bottles too. Back to the bike, I made a few changes from my last ride; I lowered the bar angle to be parallel to the ground and shorten the reach on the aero position, both worked out perfectly, I may raise the saddle a tiny bit which may help slightly on hills and to keep a higher cadence, I need to think more on that, my knee angle has plenty of room to slightly be more extended. I'm getting much more comfortable on the bike, able to hold a straight line without woobling all over, ride with only one arm on elbow pad on the aero bar and use the other for whatever like reaching for water bottle and drinking, waving, moving and forth from the drops and anything else that I need to do. It is actually easier to ride in the aero position on my lower back as my weight is supported by my elbows but the legs seems to do more work as the upper body doesn't seemed to be able to help as in the road bike position.
